The Caribbean Photo Contest runs on an annual basis and offers meaningful prizes to students currently enrolled at a recognized college or university. Students who have an interest in Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Journalism, Communications, Writing or Creative Writing, History, Anthropology, Photojournalism, Photography or the Visual & Graphic Arts and more are encouraged to participate. Competition Rounds There are three competition rounds to this contest. The first round of the contest is an open theme. Entrants can submit up to five images. A total of 100 students are selected by CPC judges to advance into the second round. In the second round the 100 student’s top images are judged through public internet voting to determine the ten (10) finalists who will compete in the third and final round. The ten (10) finalists become eligible to receive a new Digital SLR Camera package, win a ten (10) day photo expedition and workshop in the Caribbean on the Island of Dominica hosted by acclaimed International Photographer Jomo Kenyatta. After eligibility verification, the ten (10) first round winners are invited to compete in the third and final round of the contest for a total of over $20,000 in scholarship award prizes. In the third round of the contest, the ten (10) finalists will travel and compete in a photographic and essay contest on-location in the island of Dominica. While in Dominica, the ten (10) first round winners compete for the Grand Prize, a $10,000 scholarship award. The third round of the competition is in conjunction with the photo expedition and workshop. The theme in the third and final round will be announced only to the finalists. During the third round finalists will be required to submit a one thousand-word essay along with the digital images captured in Jamaica for the Grand Prize judging. Eligibility Requirements

Prizes A total of (30) thirty prizes, with a total approximate retail value (ARV) of $186,500. Approximate retail value of prizes received by each winner is $18,650. Prizes awarded are applicable and awarded only to Finalists who are approved by the Caribbean Photo Contest LLC after eligibility verification. Ten (10) finalists become eligible to receive a new Digital SLR Camera package, win a ten (10) day all expense paid photo expedition and workshop in the Caribbean on the Island of Dominica, which includes round-trip coach class air transportation to and from the major airport closest to the winners/finalists home, lodging accommodations for 9 nights and an awards ceremony and luncheon. After two (2) competition rounds and successful eligibility verification, the ten (10) finalists are invited to compete in the third and final round of the contest for a total of over $20,000 in scholarship award prizes. In the third round of the contest, the ten (10) finalists will travel and compete in a photographic and essay contest on-location in the island of Dominica. While in Dominica, the ten (10) first round winners compete for the Grand Prize, a $10,000 scholarship award.
