The Caribbean Photo Contest runs on an annual basis and offers meaningful prizes to all students enrolled at an accredited college or university. Students who have an interest in Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Journalism, Communications, Writing or Creative Writing, History, Anthropology, Photojournalism, Photography or the Visual & Graphic Arts, are particularly encouraged to participate. The objectives of the Caribbean Photo Contest are: - To challenge college students to be the best among their peers in artistic endeavors and reward them for their success

- To capture nature and cultural glimpses through the eyes of today’s youth
- To offer educational scholarships, opportunities and life changing experiences that can be garnered through participation in the arts, travel, and competition.
Jomo Kenyatta is a professional photographer, the organizer of the CPC, and also the founder and visionary of The Caribbean Unseen Project. He specializes in capturing intimate images of rare subcultures within the Caribbean region. Mr. Kenyatta, who has received critical acclaim for his work in both the US and the Caribbean, is driven to have young adults see the beauty of the world through the lens of a camera.
